The chairman of the external examiners will be contacted by Faculty of Humanities in the event of a complaint or an appeal.

When the university presents an examination appeal to the assessors, the assessors have two weeks to submit a joint statement. NOTE! July is not included in the assessors' deadline for submission of the joint statement, see section 35(2) of the Examination Order..
A complaint regarding an external examiner is handled by the chairman of the external examiners, as it does not concern the academic assessment of the examinee's performance, but the individual external examiner.
In connection with reassessments and re-exams, external examiners are appointed by the chairman of the external examiners, see section 37(2) of the Examination Order
- the requirements for the content of the exam are aligned with the objectives and other requirements set out for the programme, including in the University Programme Order and the curriculum the exams are conducted in compliance with current rules.
- the students receive uniform and fair treatment, and that their performances are assessed in a reliable manner in accordance with the rules on grading set out in the Grading Scale Order, including the rules on grading set out in the curriculum for the study programme, and any other rules on the study programme, see section 60 of the Examination Order
Appeals
The university sets up a board of appeals as soon as possible after an appeal has been submitted. A board of appeals consists of two external examiners, one teacher entitled to conduct examinations and a student from the subject area.
